Awards and Scholarships | The mission of the Scholarship Committee is to award scholarships to qualified students who identify as Black or African American and are full time students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign based upon application criteria. |
Audit | The Audit Committee is responsible for ensuring BAN conducts an annual audit of finances and financial procedures. |
Bylaws | The Bylaws Committee shall assume responsibility for developing, reviewing, and updating the organization's Bylaws, Policy, and Procedures. |
Finance and Fundraising | The Finance and Fundraising Committee develops and ensures BAN is following the appropriate financial procedures and planning fundraising options to support organizational programs in support of student scholarships. |
Marketing and Technology | The Marketing and Technology Committee creates and manages all publicity, public relations, and social media of the organization in addition to ensuring BAN has access to technology that enhances and supports our programs. |
Membership Nominating | The Membership Committee is responsible for recruiting members to BAN and maintaining communication about the benefits to BAN members in supporting Faculty, Students, Staff, and Alumni. The Nominating Committee is an ad hoc committee responsible for the nomination and election of Officers as well as special elections resulting from a Board vacancy. |
Programs | The Programming Committee shall work with all committees of BAN to plan events focused on general membership meetings, fundraisers, entertainment, and professional development in support of Alumni, Students, Staff, and Faculty at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. |
Student Affairs | The Student Affairs Committee connects with campus regarding the State of African American students on campus. |
